Requirements for moving forward

Get District voucher approval before any non-refundable payment, dismantling, or installation.
Purchase approved equipment from a contracted retailer in the applicant’s name. Use that retailer or its affiliated, supervised licensed contractor for installation; no self-installation.
Complete permits and final inspections. Keep the new device installed at the address for at least three years.
Properly destroy removed wood/pellet devices and permanently decommission the old hearth when required. Decommissioning must be performed by a licensed contractor.
Provide before and after photos. Gas equipment must be heater-rated (ANSI Z21.88/CSA 2.33); wood/pellet equipment must be on the current EPA certified list. Heat pumps must be eligible permanent systems; only one ductless head is reimbursable.
